Celia Ellenberg joined Vogue in 2015 as beauty director, a position that has allowed her to oversee the direction of the brand's cross-platform skincare, haircare, fragrance, makeup, and wellness coverage. In 2021, she was promoted to global content lead, beauty and wellness director (US) to help centralize this messaging across all of Vogue's owned and operated markets for consistency, efficiency, and reach. Prior to this, Ellenberg was an editorial consultant, overseeing projects for brands including Estee Lauder, NARS Cosmetics, and L’Oreal Luxe, while holding contributing beauty editor titles at both WSJ Magazine and Net-A-Porter's Porter Magazine. Ellenberg was also notably responsible for the creation of Style.com’s seminal digital beauty channel, Beauty Counter, for which she served as founding editor. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in Saint Louis and studied literature at University of Oxford's St. Edmund Hall. She currently splits her time between Brooklyn and the Catskills, where she lives with her husband and their two children.
