Maria studied "Textile & Clothing Management", but actually always wanted to write. So after her Bachelor's degree, she started an editorial traineeship at Sportswear International and worked her way up within the ranks of the fashion trade magazine over several years. She joined Vogue Germany in 2018, firstly as its Network Editor, actively promoting the editorial exchange between the different international Vogue offices and pushing digital growth. In her current role as Vogue Germany's features director, Maria is responsible for many of the magazine’s cover stories as well as all things culture and Zeitgeist.

Maria has also contributed to multiple other leading German media outlets including F.A.Z. Magazin, Tagesspiegel, Zeit Online or SZ Magazin, for which she co-wrote a weekly digital style column over several years.
